School Counselor

Ms. Sam has been the school counselor at RSUD since 2018. She has a Master’s Degree in Education from Plymouth State University. Ms. Sam moved to Vermont in 2018 from New Hampshire where she grew up. She lives in Rutland with her dog Luna.

Rochester Stockbridge School Counseling Program

As the school counselor, my role is to be an advocate for your child and work collaboratively with parents, teachers, administration, and the community for the betterment of all RSUD students.

My school counseling program consists of:

  • Individual counseling

  • Small group counseling

  • Weekly classroom lessons

Some reasons to contact your child's school counselor would include:

  • Academic skill support

  • School adjustment issues

  • Coping, problem-solving, or decision making issues

  • Organization, studying, and test-taking skills

  • Peer relationship or conflict resolution issues

  • Divorce, separation, or family changes

  • Experiencing loss, death, or grief

  • School bases and or community resources and referrals
