Paitra Martin

My name is Paitra Martin and I teach kindergarten at Rochester elementary. This is my first full time teaching job, but I have subbed in other schools and have worked with students over the past six years. In my free time I enjoy swimming, hiking, and exploring Vermont! I recently bought a house and am working to make it a home, as it is an 1870s house.

Lanie Sinclair

Lanie Sinclair

My name is Lanie Sinclair. I have lived in Vermont now for over 11 years with my husband (John) and our two children Caleb (13) and Abigail (9). We have a household of pets as well - a Saint Bernard - Breesy, a Maine Coon Cat - Maisy, a parakeet - Sky, and a tank of fish. Our family spends a majority of our time playing sports - hockey, soccer, gymnastics, lacrosse, and swimming. We are also active members of our church - Calvary Bible Church in Rutland, where my kids are involved in many of the youth church activities and where I serve as a Sunday School Teacher, AWANA leader, and vacation bible school teacher. Both my husband and I volunteer in different roles during the summer sports camps where our children participate. Our favorite past-time as a family is spending time at our camp in Maine where we do a lot of fishing, swimming, four-wheeling, target shooting, and most of all spending time with all of our Maine family. This is my second year serving as a third grade teacher here at Rochester. I love this small school community. I see it as an absolute privilege to come alongside the students at Rochester and help them develop not only academically but as amazing adults as well.
