William Flynn

Will Flynn is a recently licensed early childhood educator and will be joining the team at Stockbridge Central School as the preschool teacher and director. He graduated from Vermont State University in 2025 with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and spent the past three years at Woodstock Elementary School working as the floating PreK assistant across their four PreK classrooms, as well as being a special education paraeducator working with middle and high school students at WUHS/MS prior to that. Will grew up, and still lives, in Bridgewater, VT attending the former Bridgewater Village School and is looking forward to teaching in another small community school. When not in school, he enjoys gardening, spending time with friends and family, reading, concerts, traveling, going to the beach, and hopefully getting back into horseback riding this year.

Abi Hoops

Abigail Hoops

Abi Hoops is a licensed Vermont early childhood educator from New Jersey that calls Vermont her true home. As an avid skier, hiker, camper, music, and winter lover, Vermont is her favorite place to be. New to Stockbridge, Abi has lived in Burlington Vermont, Bellows Falls Vermont, and loves being in Stockbridge. Abi graduated from the University of Vermont in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Education and has been teaching in different schools in Vermont and Massachusetts since graduating. She has been a preschool teacher, ABA paraeducator, Kindergarten teacher, and is now taking on combined K/1! She is looking to pursue her Masters in special education and continue bringing love, joy, and an appreciation for the outdoors as well as social emotional competence to her students. She is beyond excited to bring academics to the outdoors as much as possible with the beautiful outdoor spaces Stockbridge offers.

Morgan Demers

Morgan Demers

Ms. Demers teaches 2nd and 3rd grade at Stockbridge Central School. She's now been teaching at Stockbridge since 2021. She graduated from Castleton University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Special Education. Before coming to Stockbridge, Ms. Demers was a substitute teacher at Barre City Elementary & Middle School for 3 years.

Lisa Milligan

Ms. Milligan teaches 4th, 5th, and 6th grade math and science at Stockbridge Central School. She earned her Masters in Education from Lesley University in 2012, her Masters of Science (environmental science and policy) from The Johns Hopkins University in 1998, and her Bachelors (Psychology) from Connecticut College in 1988. She taught middle school science in Massachusetts; worked as a Paraeducator in Massachusetts and Vermont; and prior to that worked in the corporate and nonprofit sectors in various management positions. She lives in Pomfret with her partner Victor and their two dogs and two cats.

Brendan Hurley

After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa and serving in the Peace Corps, Mr. Hurley entered into graduate school at the New College of CA to earn his teaching credential. He now has over 12 years of teaching experience working at various elementary schools around the country and beyond. He enjoys organic farming, mountain biking, snowboarding, playing in lakes/rivers, pickleball, playing guitar, and reading (mostly non-fiction).
