Pre School

Sarah Newton
Ms. Newton has her MA in elementary education and holds 2 teaching licenses; K-6, and PreK respectively. She has been at Stockbridge Central School for the past 8 years. She first started as the first and second grade teacher, but for the past 4 years has been the PreK teacher. Prior to teaching at Stockbridge she taught at Marion Cross School in Norwich .She has three children whom she is very proud of and has many dogs and horses on her farm in Chittenden.
Kindergarten/1st Grade

Stephanie Colton
Mrs. Colton began her career teaching Kindergarten in the Pittsfield Town Hall where the Kindergarten program of the Pittsfield/Stockbridge joint school was housed. Over her many years of teaching, she has taught PreK through 1st grade by themselves or in combined classes. When she is not at school, Mrs. Colton loves spending time with her family and friends. You can often find her outside walking, gardening, biking, kayaking, cross country skiing….just enjoying the beautiful place she calls home.

2nd - 3rd Grade

Morgan Demers
Ms. Demers teaches 2nd and 3rd grade at Stockbridge Central School. This is her first year teaching! She graduated from Castleton University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Special Education. Before coming to Stockbridge, Ms. Demers was a substitute teacher at Barre City Elementary & Middle School for 3 years.
4th - 6th Math & Science

Maureen Rowe
Ms. Rowe started at SCS fall of 2019 as the homeroom teacher of grades 5 and 6. Her position has developed into the homeroom teacher of grades 4/5/6 with a focus on math and science. Prior to being a classroom teacher, Ms. Rowe taught at an environmental education organization called “Nature’s Classroom.” for 5 years.
4th - 6th ELA

Donna Gallant
Ms. Donna is also the Stockbridge Librarian and Reading Interventionist
Ms. Donna taught 5/6 grade at SCS from 1998-2006. After taking some years to raise her now 13 year old daughter, Ms. Donna returned to SCS in 2015. She currently teaches 4/5/6 literacy, is the school librarian, and new this year, provides reading intervention services to students.
